Many of us struggle at the thought of leaving our beloved pets behind at a veterinary clinic when they have passed away. At Cornerstone Pet Crematorium we provide a compassionate, dignified alternative for your departed cherished friend.

Our purpose-built facility is the most modern, fully-licensed, state-of-the-art crematorium in Tasmania. We are Launceston’s first pet crematorium and offer our services statewide.

At Cornerstone, we know that pets often are the cornerstone of our families, and deserve the very best at the end of their life. We are here for you when its time to say goodbye.

The Cornerstone Process

Cornerstone offers a prompt and efficient collection service available seven days a week*. Your veterinary clinic can arrange for us to collect your pet for cremation, or alternatively call Anna to discuss your wishes or to arrange collection of your pet from your home*. You also have the option to bring your pet to Cornerstone.

Cremation takes 2–3 working days on average – same-day cremation is available on request*. We can also arrange cremation viewing*. Each cremation is carried out individually from start to finish.

Once the process is complete we will return your pet’s ashes to your veterinary clinic for you to collect at your convenience, or we can deliver your pet’s ashes to your home. You are also welcome to collect your pet’s ashes from our facility at Breadalbane.

Your pet’s ashes will be returned to you in a velvet drawstring pouch. You may prefer an urn, box, keepsake jewellery or memorial garden item – these can all be viewed and purchased on our website. You can also view a catalogue at our partner veterinary clinics, or view the range in person at Cornerstone.
